Know your solar
Get a clear view into how much you produce, use, and sell back to the grid. See real-time details or look back at your home’s history. It’s all designed to help you maximize your solar production and investment.
Real-time measurements
See exactly how much energy your home is using, producing or sending to and from the grid in real time.
Take a deeper look
See how your solar production and electricity use trends over different periods of time. Are you using the solar you make, or selling it back to the grid?
Energy insights, too.
Sense Solar breaks down your usage in just the same way as our base Sense monitor, so you get all the insight about your consumption regardless of how solar factors in.
See what’s happening at home
With machine-learning device detection and smart plug integrations, Sense shows you what’s turned on and off, so you gain insight you can’t get from other smart devices.
Now
The Now screen shows you which devices are running right now. The bigger the bubble, the more power it’s using!
Wattage
You can always see exactly how much energy you’re producing and using at any moment.
Timeline
The timeline keeps a history of on/off events, so you can look back to see when your kids turned off their video games.
Real-time readings
The Power Meter tells you exactly how much electricity you’re using right now, with wattage steps up and down when devices turn on and off.
Explore
Find out how much energy a device is using by going around your house turning them on or off. Time to change that incandescent bulb to an LED!
Always On
Many devices are on when you don’t even realise it. Unplug that coffee maker to see how much it draws waiting for the next cup to be made.
Lower your carbon footprint
Our mission at Sense is to reduce carbon emissions by making homes smart and efficient. The Sense app provides real-time carbon intensity data to help you reduce your footprint. So if your mission is our mission, you have the information you need to make a difference.
Regional
See your region’s Carbon Intensity (CI) number. It’s a measure ranging from 0 to 2.1 of how clean or dirty the energy being produced by the grid is right now. 0 is good! 2.1 is bad.
Forecast
Sense provides a CI forecast for the rest of the day, so you can plan accordingly. Consider charging your EV when the sun is high and CI is low.
Compare
You can compare your home’s Avg. CI to the regional CI number. Using high energy devices during periods of low CI is one way you can have a meaningful impact on climate change.
